With the first quarter of 2024 behind us, we've seen some interesting trends in the iOS Virtual Pet category in the United States. Sensor Tower has provided data on the top apps in this genre, highlighting their downloads, revenue, and user engagement. Here's a look at how the top five virtual pet apps have performed.

Pokémon Sleep kicked off the quarter with a revenue of around $130K, dipping to $48K but then peaking at nearly $177K by the end of March. Downloads started at approximately 6K, reaching a high of over 15K towards February's end. Weekly active users showed a similar trend, starting at 154K and reaching a peak of 174K before settling at around 164K.

Akita Limited Liability Company's My Cat – Virtual Pet Games showed consistent revenue, starting at about $43K and ending the quarter around $31K. Downloads began at roughly 22K and saw a decrease to around 10K, with weekly active users starting at 55K and decreasing to 36K by the quarter's end.

MinoMonsters, Inc.'s Cat Game - The Cats Collector! observed revenues ranging from $14K to around $24K. Downloads were modest, with a starting point of approximately 1.5K and ending slightly lower at around 491. Weekly active users saw a decline from 2.5K to just under 1.1K.

Lastly, Pet Doctor Care games for kids, also from Pazu Games Ltd, saw revenues that started at around $14K and ended at about $13K. Downloads began at over 10K, with a gradual decrease to 5.2K. Weekly active users started at approximately 22K and saw a slight decrease to 16K.
